I was super excited for this seasons playoffs graphics, but unfortunately many went to the sports graphics graveyard. I love putting in the work to getting all the assets prepped for playoffs and it hurts when things don't play out the way you'd hope.
Someone once asked me if I consider it a jinx prepping so many graphics for possible outcomes, and my response is always 'no'. When everything comes together, as it did in 2019 for the Calgary Roughnecks, the release of those graphics is a glorious feeling.
This seasons playoff graphics were inspired by light shows, spotlights, and sound waves - all of the energy present at a Roughnecks game. Wonderful additions, without straying too far from the seasonal brand.
